Tin Strainer for Matcha (with spoon)

Although matcha is already ground into a very fine powder, it will need to be sifted just before preparing for best results when whisking. We offer this 3 piece tin 'furui' (strainer) imported from Japan and made specifically for this purpose. Just scoop the appropriate amount of matcha(2 - 2 1/2 'chashaku') and place it in the strainer. Taking the gold scoop, scrape the matcha through the sifter. Remove the sifter insert, scoop out matcha with the 'chashaku' and place it into your favorite drinking vessel(a ceremonial matcha bowl is best). You can keep unused matcha in the 'furui' and store it in an odor-free freezer for future use.
